The pattern is from the 30s, but the fabric looks so 40s I had to call it a 40s dress. This dress hits about mid calf, and will be perfect for dancing (once I learn). The flower fabric I got in the LA fabric district for $1 a yard. I remember I almost didn't get it. I graded this pattern up, then did a mock up to see if it fit alright. The sleeves I made up on a whim. They were not part of the pattern. |
