I love this dress pattern. Its a minimalist design of the 40s but has so much style. I used a medium weight linen with flecks. I also lined the front center with a vintage zipper.

This was my first try at this pattern, and i wish I had used stays.

For those that do not know, stays are those strips of tissue found in patterns that have two gathered sides that are meant to be joined together. The stays are measured lengths for how much a particular piece should be gathered. I didn't use the one provided for the skirt, and I didn't make one for the skirt or neckline. I plan on using Onda as a template for making my own.

 

 

The neckline turned out reather well even though its a bit loose.
