These I made from brown corduroy I got in the garment district. Ive been meaning to make paints for some time, but the crotch and the drape of the sides has always been hard for me. So these I used a retro pattern from I think it was Simplicity for some 40s paints. I added the waist band, and also gave the rise one more inch. Good thing I did cause they fit great around the waist.

The pattern for me was one size for the waist, and another for the hips, but even for wide leg paints, I felt the legs were too wide, so I took them in about two inches on each leg. Not too bad for a trial pair.

I also added the button closure on my own, needing an extra piece of fabric to back the buttons.

I like the look, and they sit good and close to my side, which is what I wanted.

I still want to maybe narrow the legs just a bit more, and add pockets to my next pair, but I do like them.
