This pattern has been a nightmare. Not even on my vintage patterns have I had to alter, take in, adjust, or completely redo as much as I have on these. These 'retro' patterns are never perfect. Still, with all the work I did on them, once I get a good mock up, I can just crank out stuff left and right.

The skirt pattern for this was no different. I just wanted a simple 40s gored skirt. Going by the size chart on the pattern envelope, I was all set, but then I decided to look at the finished garment measurements and I am so glad I did. If I went my my measurements, I would be swimming in over 7" of ease! WHAT!!! Turns out the smallest size on this skirt was too large for me as well!

So after all that fuss, I managed a semi decent pattern on what I thought was going to be a real simple skirt. And now, it is. The construction took no longer than two hours, no kidding. I cant wait to rework a few of my old skirts to fit this one.
